Hello!

I’m Alice.

And this is ADDRESSING.

Where I write about house sharing, home and belonging.

If you, like me, are house sharing or have house shared then you’ll know how wild and wonderful it can be. In 2024, we’re doing it for longer and I believe we can do it better. That’s why I’m here.

I want you, fellow house sharers, to feel heard and empowered to cohabit harmoniously. So, I’m sharing my own learnings as well as expert advice to help you to stay sane in a house share.

About me

I’m a writer, journalist and serial house sharer. At 32, as I enter my fourth decade, I notice myself interrogating my life choices, wanting to feel more settled.

The chaos that marked my twenties has, for the most part, subsided and I find myself taking a more balanced approach to, well, pretty much everything. Including how I house share.

If my twenties were defined by experimenting, my thirties - certainly so far - are defined by taking the time to find a better way of doing things.
